Millie began her physical therapy career at St. Vincent’s Medical Center on Staten Island where she was Assistant Director of the Rehabilitation Department.
While studying physical therapy at Downstate Medical Center Millie had been introduced to the Feldenkrais Method as a teaching and treatment model that emphasized a holistic approach to healing from injury and trauma.
As a Feldenkrais Practitioner and PT, Millie lectured on the Feldenkrais Method at NYU’s Master’s Program in Physical Therapy and at Hunter College. Millie has been a consultant in preschools, working closely with a rehabilitation team of classroom teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers and psychologists, developing Individualized Educational Programs (IEP’s) for children with developmental delays and conducting comprehensive evaluations.
Millie completed a 6 year osteopathy program at the College d’Études Ostéopathiques in Montreal Canada. Her studies included academic, practical and clinical training. This training further reinforced the importance of treating the whole person and addressing the limitations and compensations to assure optimal recovery and functioning.
Millie believes firmly in a holistic approach in her practice and the importance of engaging the whole person in teaching and healing. She has helped hundreds of patients heal from various types of trauma and medical conditions to obtain a higher quality of life.
